What is the state of hypnosis?

The state of hypnosis is basically an altered state of awareness. You have probably glimpsed moments during the course of a normal day when you have naturally entered a similar state.

For instance maybe you have been driving or walking along and found yourself thinking or dreaming so hard about a particular issue that later you realise that you were not even conscious of your surroundings or the direction you were traveling in.

This is very similar to the state of hypnosis, in that you experienced things like time distortion and increased attention to your inner feelings and thoughts.

A hypnotherapist is a person who is trained in using this state to benefit their client.

For example a hypnotherapist will help their client enter the state of hypnosis & then provide a relevant image using story or metaphor that the clients mind can use to resolve a problem or create more success in their life.

Further, you can be assured of feeling in complete control when you are in the state of hypnosis.

Throughout the whole session, a part of you will feel alert and conscious of your surroundings and will be able to decide exactly which parts or ideas you wish to accept.
